New Porgera now has immediate position vacancies within the Mobile Planning Section of the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Department for
Storeman – Material Controller. Reporting to the Planner - Mobile Planning, the successful candidate will join a dynamic team responsible for controlling the physical flow of materials into and out of the stores.
The Ideal Candidate Must Have
Qualification
- A minimum of Grade 10 Education
- PNG Class 3 or 6 license
- Completed Job Ready Program or Technical/vocational Training
- Physically fit and healthy to do heavy work
- Sound communication skills - verbal and written
- Effective in Safety interactions, understanding of hazards ID tools and reporting and participating in safety incidents
Experienced
- Experience working in inventory management /warehouse functions (desirable)
- Experience working as a part interpreter (desirable)
- Experienced with Mining equipment and terms (desirable)
- Computer literate in MS Office Suites and other CMMS systems (SAP/Oracle) (desirable)
- Experience working as a trades assistant or trades person (desirable)
- Experience with Caterpillar SIS (Service Information System) (desirable)
- High risk work certificates – Forklift (desirable)
Key Responsibilities
- Control the physical kitting and staging of parts and materials for maintenance activities
- Update tracking records and communicate with planners on parts availability
- Expedite parts through the supply team as required to ensure maintenance activities can be executed as planned and scheduled.
- Materials storage and bins Maintenance
- General cleanliness and security of all the workshop and staging areas.
- Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness and comply with the PJV Occupational Health & Safety Policy and all health, safety rules and procedures
Mobilization Requirements
- Ability to successfully pass a pre- employment medical and drug and alcohol test
- Be a Local Porgeran (Cat 1 or Cat 2) Candidate and available to start immediately
- The Roster is 14 days on and 7 days off
