Rainy River Mine
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit and underground, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.
The Rainy River Mine, located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border is 65 Kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. If you enjoy outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, winter sports and lake country then this is an area you will love to live and work in.

About The Role
Position: Underground Dry Coordinator
Schedule: 7/7
Position Reports To: Underground Maintenance Supervisor
Role Summary
The role of the Dry Coordinator at New Gold’s Rainy River mine is to ensure the smooth and clean continued operation of the underground maintenance dry facility. This position supports the underground maintenance team by coordinating resources and ensuring all safety and environmental standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensure all surface areas, including bathrooms, lunch trailers, offices, desks, and conference rooms, are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in accordance with safety and hygiene standards.
- Perform Routine Cleaning Tasks: Regularly dust, sweep, vacuum, and mop surfaces. Manage waste by emptying garbage and recycling containers in all designated areas.
- Stock and Replenish Supplies: Monitor and restock essential supplies, such as paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, and dish soap, to ensure all areas are adequately supplied.
- Safely Operate Cleaning Equipment: Safely utilize cleaning equipment, including electrical and mechanical tools, when necessary to maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of cleaning supplies, ensuring that stock levels are sufficient to meet operational needs.
Qualifications
- Janitorial or housekeeping experience preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices.
