Rainy River Mine
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.
The Rainy River Mine, located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border is 65 Kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. About The Role
Position: Equipment Operator
Schedule: Shift 7/7 – 12 hour days/nights
Position Reports To: Construction Supervisor
Position Overview
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join the Construction team as a skilled operator. The role of the Equipment Operator is to provide support to TMA operations, mainly through operating heavy equipment to ensure that production activities are performed in a safe and efficient manner and production objectives are met.
- Preference will be given to local candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Positions working a 7/7 rotation, rotating between day and night shift.
- The Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Heavy construction equipment may include haul truck, front-end loaders, dozers, excavators, and other pieces of equipment.
- Operate both the articulating Haul Truck and 100T Haul Truck.
- Perform circle checks of equipment and clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Driver's license is required - must have minimum of class G2 license
- 1 year or more of operating machinery is considered an asset
- Heavy Equipment Operator Training is desirable
- Ontario Common Core Training is an asset

- Ability to understand and follow Safety Operating Practices
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Aptitude to demonstrate safety procedures is essential in this role
