Job Purpose
Provides Instrument technical expertise within the plant to which he is assigned. Performs supervisory functions and exercises technical best practice at critical and non-critical assets.
Key Accountabilities
Conversant with the HSE requirements and accept full accountability and commitment towards HSE Management Systems. Participates in Emergency Response and Command activities as required and in (sometimes leads) safety, health and environment audits in the plants.
Supports the development of specifications and supplier lists for spare parts to enable ordering/reordering.
Identifies critical spare parts and specialized tools and ensures their availability in compliance with the reliability centered maintenance program.
Leads the root cause analysis of repeated or major failures to ensure continuous improvement.
Troubleshoots the major instrument problems in the plant and proposes solutions.
Train and improve the competency levels to enhance safety skills, levels, discipline, motivation, and productivity of instrument team.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor or Associate Diploma in Instrumentation
Minimum Experience:
8+ years maintenance experience in instrumentation & control.
