Position: Superintendent, Maintenance Support
Location: Ras Al Khair, Eastern, Saudi Arabia
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent Workshop to oversee and manage the daily operations of our workshop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe functioning of the workshop, managing a team of technicians and staff, and maintaining high standards of quality and productivity. The Superintendent Workshop will play a key role in optimizing processes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Workshop Operations Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Plan, organize, and direct all workshop activities to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Monitor and control workshop expenses, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise, train, and mentor workshop staff, including technicians, mechanics, and support personnel.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all work performed in the workshop meets quality standards and specifications.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to minimize errors and rework.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Inventory and Resource Management:
- Manage inventory levels of tools and equipment
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and submit regular reports on workshop performance, including production metrics, safety incidents, and maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of all workshop operations, including work orders, equipment logs, and personnel records.
Qualifications:
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree, Industrial Management, or a related field.
Experience: +8 years' experience in workshop management or a similar role, preferably in Rolling Mill business.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of workshop machinery, tools, Mobile equipment, outside services and Down days/ TA manpower sourcing. Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other relevant tools.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
