Job Title: Operator, DAP
Business Unit/Function: Phosphate BU/Operations, MPC
Location: Ras Al Khair, Eastern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Job Purpose
- Responsible for operating the Plant within specified operating procedures to ensure safe and smooth operation of the plant.
- Carries out operations effectively in all areas (Plant operations as per the direction of the shift supervisor when required.
Key Accountabilities:
Shift Operations
- Monitor and control the equipment in your area of responsibility. Follow the instructions given by your supervisor during your shift and ensure the safe operation of the Plant.
- Perform all the activities mentioned in the area of responsibility during the shift.
- Fill in the log sheet and logbook and give proper communication during shift changes over to the reliever.
Optimal Operating Conditions
- Communicate with operators within and across plants, continuously to optimize production.
- Inform the DCS operators when working in the field about any abnormalities and parameters as required for the smooth running of the Plant.
Trouble Shooting
- Identify and resolve operating problems to meet smooth operation.
Sample analysis
- Perform and Review Sample analysis results based on the section operating and Communicate to DCS operator.
Shut Down and Start-Up
- Take all actions for the safe shutdown and start-up in specific areas of the plant in line with standard operating procedures
Health, Safety and Environment
- Take appropriate actions to meet Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and regulations within acceptable norms and standards.
Housekeeping
- Keep the area Clean and free from any wastes or spillages.
Training
- Should complete the Training Module as planned for him.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical diploma or equivalent education.
Minimum Experience:
- Min 8 years of operational experience in fertilizer or chemical processes & plant operations. Preferably with experience in the same type of process.
- Experience & sound knowledge of fertilizer and chemical processes in continuous-running plants.

Skills:
- Troubleshooting, systematic execution of operating procedures, English language literacy.
