Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Mine Superintendent you will be part of the Mine Operations Department. You will be responsible for assisting the operations team by ensuring optimal functionality of the fleet management systems as well as assisting with daily data functions directly related to execution of the mine plan and taking an active role in continuous improvement. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Ensuring the safety of the team by applying a zero harm approach to decisions and instructions issued;
- Optimizing Fleet Management and Mining Systems to maximize equipment productivity, efficiency and safety;
- Validating and maintaining mine site data accurately;
- Assessing and providing daily feedback to the dispatch and supervisor teams;
- Reviewing and modifying production reports on a regular basis;
- Integrating Fleet Management System into Mine Planning and Maintenance systems;
- Analysis and interpretation of data to identify areas for efficiency improvements;
- Delivering project reports and updates as well as other administrative tasks.
What You Need To Succeed
- Degree in Mine Engineering with eligibility for P.Eng registration with the PEO;
- Experience working with Wenco Fleet Management System is considered as asset;
- Experience working with data;
- Experience working in an open pit mining operation is considered an asset;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
