KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Superintendent II, HR Smelter
The Kamoa Copper Mine, is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.
Purpose of the role:
To optimise General HR Operations and the people management value chain in the Smelter. The incumbent recruits a skilled workforce, manages the labour budget, leave, promotions, demotions, and terminations of employees and leads a team of Senior HR Officers, Officers and Clerks.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree in Human Resources / 5-year Degree in Labour Science.
- Diploma in Management with Human Resource / Law Degree is a preferred
- 8 - 10 years at Senior level managing the resourcing and recruitment, preferably in a mining environment with Smelter experience
- Languages: English. Mandarin/French / Swahili advantageous

Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize General HR Operations and the People Management Value Chain in the Smelter
- Manage recruitment and implement the Smelter Labour plan
- Manage and monitor the implementation of the labour budget
- Implement effective and efficient processes to track and monitor the Annual and Planning Leave
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the T&A (Time and Attendance) system
- Manage the transfers, promotions, demotions and termination of employees
- Function as an HR subject matter expert
