KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Superintendent I, Network and Security
The Kamoa Copper Mine, is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.
Purpose of the role:
To manage and supervise the advanced network architecture and provide technical guidance and contribute to strategic network planning. The role manages and supervises specialists to ensure network infrastructure availability.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science (systems/ network) or equivalent, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE (R & S), CCIE Data Center
- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in an IT environment.
- Proficiency in French and English preferred
Skills and knowledge:
- Cisco technology
- Routing, switching, SD Access, SD WAN, Wireless and Firewalls in a Cisco environment
- IT infrastructure, networks and servers
- MS Office
- Project planning and management
- Implementing Software Defined Network Infrastructure
- IT Operations and Maintenance
- People management and supervision
Key Responsibilities:
- Collate business requirements, design, and source solutions to deliver on requirements
- Oversee and manage the execution of the technical strategy and implementation of network projects
- Manage the network and security team
- Drive effective problem solving and continuous improvement
- Coordinate, monitor and supervise the performance of direct reports
- Monitor costs or expenses to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste
