Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Director, Operations Ontario Region, you will be part of the Regional Site Admin Department. You will be responsible for the initiation, planning, design, risk assessment and delivery of a portfolio that includes diverse social, affordable and mixed market housing. You will manage through all project development phases, from initiation through occupancy. You will lead personnel outside of their direct reporting. You will work closely with site GM’s and project managers for upper beaver and Detour Underground (DUG) whilst also managing community and municipal leaders in N. ON, developers and builders. You will be an integral stakeholder in all aspects of increasing N. On workforce in 5 year plan. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Provide project leadership and coordination to a project team
- Work collaboratively with project sponsors and partners, including municipalities, private sector developers, consultants, industry specialists, contractors, government ministries and First Nations
- Accountable for ensuring that all due diligence requirements have been considered and completed, and that the various funding and finance models abide by Company requirements
- Identify and promote business ideas to create innovative and strategic opportunities for the development of housing
- Build and foster collaborative partnerships, generates strategies for optimizing program budgets and leverages funding to meet project and stakeholder objectives
- Initiate and manage multi-disciplinary project teams to develop housing inventory and availability
- Manage and produce development schedules, risks, and opportunities to meet business requirements
- Collaborate and communicate with internal and external teams, ensuring potential challenges or opportunities to plan, budget, schedule, and manage relationships are proactively identified, transmitted, and analyzed
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, urban planning, civil engineering (or equivalent), architecture is required
- 7- 10 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience developing residential projects in Ontario
- Familiar with planning approval regulatory/policy framework, associated municipal processes
- Project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects, relationships, tasks, and deadlines
- Strategic Execution - developing and driving project strategy
- Effective communication, strong negotiation skills and strategic execution
- Balancing the interests of owners, project managers, and all other stakeholders
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at our Timmins Regional Office. Occasional visits to site may also be required
