With the exciting changes resulting from the demerger, the Manager Communication Internal Communication is responsible for leading the effective internal communications and employee engagement function to drive One Team and One Purpose goal and a high performance culture. Key to the role includes implementing communication strategies to embed the new strategy, contribute to a high performance and engaged culture, develop appropriate messages, manage channels, and support leadership communication.
Overall, to ensure that internal communication and employee engagements efforts align with the company's new strategic objectives.

Job Description
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Develop effective internal communication strategies and plans that drive a high performance culture.
- Support the business to drive the new strategy and culture from a communications perspective. Develop effective employee engagement plans that inspire change and ensures employees are engaged.
- Support leadership engagement through various platforms
- Support change management efforts through change communication
- Provide feedback from the ground e.g. relay information gathered at stakeholder engagement events, attending meetings, big events in the area etc.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Postgraduate qualification an advantage
Experience:
- Experience in developing and maintaining internal communication strategies, channels and initiatives in a large multinational organisation
- Ability to draft, issue agency briefs and manage SLA
- Experience in developing and executing employee engagement campaigns and activations
- Experience in change communication
- Experience in managing the brand and Corporate Identity
- Proven experience of interfacing with and influencing colleagues and senior management
- Strong understanding of communication channels and how they operate
- Ability to build and maintain effective people networks internally
- Interest in the mining industry and related issues essential
- Knowledge of the mining industry desirable but not essential
- Experience in working with different cultures and business environments
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Change communication skills
- Ability to engage employees effectively to inspire change
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills, written and verbal
- Strong numerical, analytical and reasoning skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person
- Working knowledge of digital platforms such as web and social media
- Strong understanding of internal communication channels and how they operate
- Good understanding of the various elements of communications to ensure delivery across multiple platforms.
- Remains abreast of latest developments in technology and social media to use it to the benefit of the business
- Proven ability to build and maintain networks internally
- Knowledge of the mining industry desirable but not essential
