About The Role
At Rio Tinto, we seek skilled individuals in the evolving Purchase to Pay (P2P) landscape. The Expense management role focuses on accurately processing expense reports within defined SLAs over 6-12 months, managing queries from employees and administrative activities related to expense management.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting line Advisor – Expense Management
Scope Your scope will include (but not limited to) below
- Perform processing of expense reports accurately
- Ensure timely response/resolution to employees on expense queries
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment, effective communication, and timely resolution of issues.
- Manage administrative activities related to card management for employees
- Perform reconciliation and clearing related to expense management accounts
- Adhering to established compliance controls, assisting with SOX testing for audit samples, maintaining records and documentation with guidance to maintain accuracy and integrity in expense management and payment processing
- Adhere to Rio Tinto’s compliance protocols and policies in daily operations.
- Coordinate data deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and monitor adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
Control and Compliance Effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with Riot Tinto’s policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls related to Expense management processes.
- Mitigate financial and operational risks by implementing robust control mechanisms and conducting periodic SOX/ internal audits.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain best-in-class operations.

About Yourself
We are looking for passionate candidates having
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Proven experience of 6-12 months in Expense management or accounts payable shared services or a similar function, preferably within a global organization
- Having exposure to Concur and SAP is preferred
- Experience in International Operations and virtual working
- Demonstrated experience in driving process improvements
- Ability to adapt to ambiguity and resolve complex issues efficiently and prioritize within a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Excellent Communication skills, spoken English and have flair for learning new process / projects
- Flexible to work in different shifts
