Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Supervisor, Mine Planning, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
- Lead the development of scenario, budget, and enhanced life of mine planning exercises (Open Pit and Underground) to support division strategic objectives;
- Develop stockpile and waste balances to support mine planning deliverables;
- Support Cutoff grade calculation and mineral reserve / mineral resource estimation;
- Support mine design activities across operational areas, with scope determined by project and departmental needs;
- Promote Health and Safety by participating in the monthly Departmental H&S meeting when at site;
- Tactical Planning coverage as needed by the department;
- Special projects according to the needs of the Engineering or Mine Departments.
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering;
- 5+ years of Underground and Open Pit mine planning experience;
- Mineral resource estimation and/or mine footprint design experience is an asset;
- Canadian Professional Engineer designation and/or eligible for NAPEG license;
- Experience working with Deswik is an asset;
- Experience working in a multicultural environment;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: Remote work with periodic travel to site as required, 5 days of work, followed by 2 days for rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
