Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Security Supervisor, you will be part of the Security Department. You will be responsible for monitoring and protecting the property, personnel, and interests of Agnico Eagle against criminal activity, loss, and liability. In addition to general security guard duties, the Security Support Technician is responsible for maintaining security equipment, cameras and x-ray units, maintaining site access control systems. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Controls access to establishments using access control technology, and operates security control room equipment;
- Conducts patrols of assigned areas to guard against theft, vandalism, fire, and trespassing;
- Maintaining Security Equipment Camera’s/x ray units, and access control system;
- Inspects and adjust Security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and detect evidence of tampering;
- Completes reports by recording observations, completing incident reports, conducting interviews, and investigations as directed;
- Timmins Bus and LZ5 ore transportation logistics
- Working / communicating regularly with all other AEM Departments as required.
What You Need To Succeed
- Minimum High School Diploma / Equivalency is required;
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License is required;
- Valid G Class Ontario Drivers License with clear driver’s abstract is required;
- Standard First Aid / CPR is required;
- Good spoken and written communication skills are required.

- Schedule: 7/7 schedule at our Macassa Mine site located in Kirkland Lake, ON.
