Your Next Challenge
Description - Internal
- Prepare, review, and administer engineering, contracts and subcontracts
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Track contract milestones, deliverables, and obligations
- Support contract negotiations, amendments, and dispute resolution
- Maintain accurate and organized contract documentation
- Review, validate, and process vendor, contractor, and consultant progress payment certificates
- Ensure progress payment certificates align with contractual rates, progress, and approved work
- Identify discrepancies, errors, or non-compliant charges and coordinate resolution
- Track project costs, commitments, and expenditures against budget
- Assist with accruals, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Administer contract changes, variations, and change orders
- Assess cost and schedule impacts of changes
- Ensure proper documentation, approvals, and financial adjustments
- Act as a liaison between engineering teams, procurement, finance, and external vendors
- Provide contract interpretation and financial guidance to project stakeholders
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on contract and invoice status
- Prepare reports on contract performance, invoice status, and cost tracking
- Maintain records of payments, claims, and contract changes
- Support management with data for decision-making and forecasting
What You Need To Succeed
Qualifications - Internal
- 3–5 years of experience in contract/business administration, invoicing, or project controls
- College diploma in business administration considered an asset
- Experience in engineering, construction, mining, or industrial projects preferred
- Familiarity with large-scale capital projects or EPC environments is an asset
- Strong understanding of contract terms, commercial principles, and cost control
- Experience reviewing progress payment certificates, progress billing, and financial documentation
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, JDE)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Financial accuracy and attention to detail
- Contract compliance and risk management
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Primarily office-based with occasional site visits
- May require coordination with field teams and contractors
- Possible travel depending on project requirements
