Medically fit to work underground
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
At least 3 years of experience in operating TM3 / LHD equipment.
3 years mining experience
Understanding of safety requirements to operate the machine
Understanding of underground mining operations
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
Roles & Responsibilities
Cost containment by ensuring machine is operated to best practices with regular basic equipment maintenance
Conduct starts of shift inspection of the machine and test brakes
Achieve production targets through safe and effective operation of the LHD.
Report accurate daily hauling tonnages
Follow correct tramming procedures
Effective and efficient loading, hauling, and dumping of blasted rock using correct techniques and line with standards, procedures, and safety protocol.
Effective teamwork and knowledge sharing, best way to tip and load
Ensure all inspections are done.
Ensure all checklists are completed
Ensure that all safety and legal requirements are carefully followed
Taking lawful and reasonable instructions from the supervisor and participating in Mine safety programs.
