Matric certificate / equivalent
Driver’s license
Valid operator’s competency certificate
Medically fit
Valid First Aid Certificate
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Previous experience as Mobilift driver with verifiable references
At least 3 years’ experience as a mobilift / forklift driver in a mining environment
Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act
Roles & Responsibilities
Safely maneuvering the telehandler to move materials, equipment or personnel as needed
Accurate involvement in lifting, transporting, and positioning items at various heights
Record keeping of fuel consumption, maintenance activities and overall conditions of the mobilift machine
Communicate effectively with supervisors, other team members and maintenance personnel
Communicate with other workers to coordinate lifting operations
Adhere to safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
Demonstrate exceptional knowledge on the use of pre-use checklist and record keeping
Plan lifts, assess the load, environment, and available equipment to ensure safe lifting operations
