Job Description
Residence: Santiago, Chile
Work Schedule: 5x2 shift (Monday to Friday)

PURPOSE
Provide expert knowledge and support to engineering and maintenance discipline in country. Drive continuous improvement through identification of gaps, inefficiencies, or improvement opportunities and implement enhancements based on trends, data, and industry standards. Help evaluate operational risks, impacts, and feasibility of proposed solutions. Promote operational excellence by establishing best practices, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and fostering a collaborative environment. Take a proactive approach to problem solving by diagnosing complex issues, developing effective solutions, and facilitating their implementation to optimize performance across all operations.
TYPICAL TASKS
- Provide technical expertise to all managed operations within the country in engineering and maintenance matters.
- Act as a second line for ORM auditing and the implementation of AATS related to the technical discipline.
- Consolidate all key TORs for the discipline for review and submission to the Manager Mining & Geoscience for the 5-year Business Plan process.
- Review TORs required for the development of LOAP plans and validate outputs for all assets in the country.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and collaboration to achieve operational excellence.
- Ensure maintenance plans are correctly executed at each operation; escalate deviations to the Technical Head in-country.
- Work in close collaboration with Engineering Managers at each site and with Group Heads of Discipline.
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (desirable)
- Advanced English level – Mandatory.
Experience:
- 3 - 5 years of experience in maintenance execution of either mining equipment (e.g., shovels, drills, haul trucks) or plant equipment (e.g., SAG/Balls mills, Conveyors and SX/EW systems).
- 3 years of experience in maintenance areas focused on reliability engineering and/or process analysis and improvement, including root cause analysis, performance optimization, and implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Experience in maintenance planning, ensuring effective scheduling, execution, and follow‑up of maintenance programs across operations.
- Willingness and availability to travel to operational sites as required.
- Demonstrated expertise in SAP and advanced proficiency with analytical tools including Minitab, Risk, advanced Excel, and executive-level PowerPoint.
