Job Description
Wood is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Santiago, Chile. This role is pivotal in ensuring delivery excellence across assigned projects or portfolios. The Project Manager will provide certainty and confidence to our customers and project sponsors, while maintaining robust control over project scope, schedule, cost, and risk.
Key Responsibilities include specifying and coordinating the implementation and completion of moderate-sized projects, portfolios of small projects, or major components of large projects. This involves ensuring safe delivery, meeting quality, schedule, and cost targets, and managing associated risks. The Project Manager will also be responsible for managing change, fostering strong customer relationships, and ensuring adherence to reporting and governance standards.
Responsibilities
Project Execution
- P&L Responsibility: Manage commercial and financial aspects, including revenue, margins, budgets, forecasts, risk reviews, cost controls, billing, and cash collection.
- Project Planning: Contribute to project proposals and plans, determine timelines, procedures, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Change Management: Negotiate scope changes with customers and follow processes to approve modifications.
- Innovation: Pursue opportunities for digitalization, technology use, and high-value engineering to benefit Wood and customers.
- Project Procedures: Establish and lead project execution plans, including scope, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and risk management.
- Reporting: Regularly report progress to senior management and customers.
- Performance Improvement: Promote a culture of performance improvement and manage complex projects and supply chains.
- Schedule and Financial Performance: Ensure delivery of agreed schedules and financial targets, intervening proactively to avoid delays.
- Team Competence: Ensure project team members are competent and focused on risk identification and mitigation.
- HSSE Leadership: Lead health, safety, security, and environmental initiatives and audits.
- Team Guidance: Direct a multidisciplinary team, including external specialists and staff from multiple locations.
- Information Management: Set up and manage information systems for various project phases.
- Assurance Activities: Participate in assurance activities and peer reviews.
Leadership

- Proposal Oversight: Oversee proposals and call-offs, ensuring compliance with contracting policies and ethical standards.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in a relevant discipline.
- Preferred certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Associate in Project Management (APM), or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, And Experience
- Over 7 years of relevant experience, including 2-3 years in project management.
- Strong background in the related field, industry, and work locations.
- Proven project management experience with a solid understanding of business issues.
- Expertise in project management techniques, goals, drivers, and strategies.
- Experience in developing and implementing success measures and benefits.
- Skilled in stakeholder prioritization and management.
- Familiar with industry and company risk management processes.
- Proficient in estimating techniques and cost derivation.
- Knowledgeable about contract models and their suitability.
- Capable of effective project initiation and execution planning.
- Well-versed in international and company quality assurance standards.
- Understanding of commercial and contract conditions for procurement.
- In-depth knowledge of scheduling techniques and project monitoring.
- Ability to manage change control processes with multiple subcontractors.
- Competent in managing project information and handover activities.
- Understanding of cash flow management and cost projection.
