Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Human Resources General Supervisor, you will be part of the Human Resources Department and collaborate with other departments of the mine. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Disability Management
- Ensure employees properly complete all required Manulife forms for disability claims.
- Provide weekly reports to Payroll, Protocol, Departments, and the Medical Clinic.
New Employee Onboarding
- Welcome new employees virtually and guide them through the onboarding process.
- Assist new hires in completing necessary paperwork.
- Explain benefits and other relevant organizational policies.
Health & Safety and Workplace Initiatives
- Assist with health and safety projects for the NSG team.
- Support office inspections and compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Contribute to the development of the Supervisor Guide.
- Organize and participate in social activities to enhance employee engagement.
- Order office supplies.
- Deliver Civility at Work and Diversity & Inclusion sessions for all NSG employees.
Employee Engagement & Workplace Culture
- Coordinate the Great Place to Work (GPTW) survey and assist with the action plan.
- Support employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Northern Operation Support
- Provide ongoing support to northern operation by travelling to one of our site in NU when required.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the HR and operational teams.
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field relevant to the position;
- 1-2 years minimum of hands-on HR experience;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and multitask;
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences;
- To be flexible with the schedule.
Note that the official working language at our Nunavut operations is English.
Your Work Schedule and location:
- The work schedule will be hybrid, with work locations in both the South and the North. Working in the North is defined as working at one of the Nunavut mine sites, while working in the South includes remote work combined with time in one of the Agnico Eagle office;
- Any hours worked beyond 40 hours during time spent in the North will be offset by a corresponding reduction in working hours over the following three weeks, during which the employee will work remotely (from home) or from one of our offices;
- While working in the North, the working days are twelve (12) hours, and in the South, they are eight (8) hours;
- While working in the South, the employee will be teleworking but must be present at one of the Agnico Eagle offices 30% of the time per week;
- The employee will also need to visit the Mirabel or Val-d’Or office a few times per year.
