Your impact
Support the Service Enablement Group (SEG) leadership team in People priority areas of talent, organization effectiveness, total rewards, internal communications and change management.
As part of our team, you will
- Align the SEG People priorities to the business objectives and enterprise People strategies and programs.
- Deliver change management advice and planning for SEG.
- Design and implement People programs, ensuring programs remain relevant to business and aligned to Enterprise People systems
- Drive the Implementation of People programs within SEG including all items associated with new-country entry.
- Identify and address talent needs, including succession planning, recruitment, retention, selection, onboarding, performance management, and development to ensure the right people are in the right roles.
- Provide relevant support and coaching to SEG Leadership on people matters related to the effective operation of the SEG.
- Champion organizational values and culture across People initiatives within the business.
- Advise business leaders on employee relations matters.
- Advise leadership on the Enterprise organizational design principles and practices and design and implement changes to work and roles as appropriate.
- Facilitate and/or design team interventions, workshops, and new team member assimilation sessions.
- Develop or modify policies and procedures that align with Newmont corporate standards while also ensuring compliance with Costa Rica legislation.
- Facilitate training and orientation required for new staff.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to execute staffing plans, implement benefit plans and new compensation structure for the Costa Rica SEG Delivery Center.
- Assist with selection, implementation and ongoing management of local vendors for people process (for example, pre-employment checks, drug testing, mobility programs, etc.).
- Key contributor to designing employee experience in Costa Rica.
- Input into the design of HR systems and processes to support the SEG Delivery Center office
- Support SEG leadership in annual People process, performance reviews, talent assessments, compensation planning cycle, and succession planning.
- Advise on local competitive and legislative changes that may impact work, including analyzing data, trends, and networking in the local market.
Prerequisites for your success in this role
- Graduate degree in organizational psychology, organizational development, business administration, social sciences, or related field.
- Organization design theory and principles.
- Core HR subdisciplines – organizational effectiveness, design, reward, recruitment, talent, industrial relations & development.
- Newmont HR systems, processes, policies, and standards in key areas such as talent, recruitment. Industrial relations and organization effectiveness.
- Country labor law/regulations.
- Shared service business drivers and performance measures.
- Project management fundamentals.
- Change Management fundamentals and tools such as ADKAR.
- Advanced proficiency in implementing and recommending improvement in people systems and processes
- Competent proficiency in the use of data analytics to develop action plans and initiatives
- Competent in CORE, Success Factors and other relevant digitalized People systems.
- Competent Level of proficiency in applying country labor laws and regulations.
- Competency level of proficiency in presentation and reporting writing.
- Competent in applying Newmont’s change management standards, processes, and tools.
Your work environment
- This role is based in Costa Rica, despite the system-listed location of Denver. Applicants must be located in or willing to relocate to Costa Rica to be considered for this position
- This is a hybrid position, requiring a combination of remote work and on-site presence at the Shared Delivery Center
- The listed salary range applies to positions based in Colorado. Compensation may vary for candidates hired in other locations.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $175,950- 246,330. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance. This role also will be eligible for participation in a discretionary long-term incentive program, pursuant to which an employee may receive awards based on their level and individual performance.
