Tyre Dozer Operator OC. The Tyre Dozer Operator is responsible for operating the Earthmoving equipment to clear areas of rock broken during drilling and blasting operations and as spilled during hauling operations.

Job Description
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Ensure that Earth moving equipment is maintained according to set standards
- Identify any unexpected problems that could require higher level technical support to and advise supervisor.
- Report to Dispatch and/or Pit Foreman when task complete.
- Accompany Pit Foreman when inspecting completed task.
- Ensure that regular inspections are carried out on the Earth moving equipment to ensure operating worthiness.
- Apply recognized work and safety standards when executing tasks.
- Operate Earth moving equipment according to task standards.
- Move Earth moving equipment according to heavy duty driving regulations.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on plant.
- Compile an accurate shift report.
- Ensure proper understanding of the required actions and orders
- Apply recognized work, driving and safety standards
- Ensure that tasks are completed to required quality standards
- Participate in weekly safety meetings
- Report any safety related grievances or issues to the safety rep or Dispatch / Pit Foreman
- Follow work instructions to set standards and procedures
- Identify safety related problems to the Dispatch / Pit Foreman
- Identify actions that could prevent and improve safety and work performance
- Ensure that any allocated support works together as a team while completing tasks
- Promote safety awareness by reminding team members to follow work procedures and identifying unsafe work practices
This role is at a B3 Level, reporting to the Load and Haul Foreman.
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Tyre Dozer certificate
IMPORTANT: applications without qualification related attachments will not be considered.
Experience, Knowledge And Skills
- 1-year experience operating Earth moving equipment
- 1-year experience operating a Dozer, Front End loader or grader
