Job Description
We are seeking a talented and energetic Product Manager to oversee our Bromine product line within the specialties business segment, focusing on customers within China. This role involves developing and communicating business and pricing strategies, managing the business lifecycle, and coordinating with various departments to ensure alignment with business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, commercial experience, and a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer behaviors within the Chinese chemical industry. This position requires excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, as well as the ability to travel domestically.
What You Will Do
- Set price guidelines and monitor regional business performance.
- Prepare weekly outlooks and quarterly reports.
- Collaborate with sales to understand customer needs, buying behaviors, and contingency plans.
- Coordinate product availability with demand and priorities.
- Participate in S&OP meetings for demand forecasting and production planning.
- Analyze market data and competitive intelligence.
- Solve regional business challenges with support teams.
- Communicate business plans and priorities to stakeholders.
- Provide regional input for global business management.
- Ensure functional alignment and milestone completion.
What You Bring
- BS Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or similar technical field.
- 3+ years of commercial experience (marketing, business, or sales).
- 5+ years of non-commercial chemical industry experience in lieu of technical experience.
- Ability to travel domestically.
- Knowledge of Chinese chemical market dynamics and customer behaviors.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Business Intelligence tools.
- Proficient in English.
- Experienced with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
