Job Purpose
The purpose is to look at the performance of drilling and blasting for the generation of blasted material. To follow the plan in accordance with the excavation plan to generate sufficient inventories as per the contract and crusher feed requirement. Monitoring the blast fragmentation and suggesting the design pattern for drilling blast holes. Prepare budgets for drilling meters for blast hole drills and Explosive & other accessories requirement for the Calendar Year. Work as Sub Element Administrator for MSHEM-04.09 Surface Ground Control deciding for Backfilling design, Bench Design Parameters, External Dump design, dealing with Geological disturbances like Sinkhole and cavities, use of mining heavy earth moving machinery. Responsible for monthly verification of explosives and accessories consumption and drilling meters for blast holes.
Key Accountabilities
- Drilling of Blast holes and its QAQC from Mine technical aspects.
- Blasting from Mine Technical aspect.
- Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Annual reporting for drilling and blasting performance.
- Preparing annual budgets for drilling meters, explosive & accessories consumption.
- Responsible for verification of drilling meters , explosive and accessories consumption for monthly invoicing.
- Communication with all the stakeholders with regards to drilling and blasting i.e. Explosive suppliers, explosive services contractor and the blasting contractor etc…..
