About the role
This role involves starting your journey with Evolution and contributing to the company’s Vision, Goals, and Values. As a Finance Graduate, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills within the Finance & Commercial team.
Throughout the two-year program, you will gain valuable exposure to all Finance & Commercial specialties, working across both group and site functions, and contributing to the overall business success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to align with Evolution's Finance & Commercial initiatives.
- Gain experience within the Finance & Commercial functions on site, providing support in areas such as monthly management and quarterly ASX reporting, financial accounting (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow), and statutory reporting.
- Assist with Group Commercial activities, including group tendering, procurement processes, annual strategic planning, and capital expenditure management.
- Provide support to Site operations, including site accounting, budgeting, planning, and supply function management, while appreciating site safety management systems.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement opportunities, graduate development workshops, and activities, while maintaining health, safety, and security standards.

The Graduate Finance and Commercial role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a well-rounded skill set in the dynamic world of finance and commercial operations within Evolution Mining. As part of the graduate program, you will work alongside experienced professionals and have the opportunity to contribute to various areas within the Finance & Commercial team, both at the Group office and on-site. This role is designed to provide broad exposure to the key functions that drive financial performance and business strategy, including financial reporting, accounting, procurement, planning, and business improvement. The program is structured to allow you to build a solid foundation in the fundamentals of finance and commercial operations, while also developing the critical skills needed to succeed in the industry. With opportunities for continuous learning, professional growth, and involvement in key business projects, this graduate role will help set the stage for a successful career within Evolution Mining.
Key qualifications and skills required for the role include:
- A qualification in Commerce (Majoring in Finance), Business, Law, Economics, or a similar degree obtained within the last 3 years.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and eager to learn, with the ability to think critically, adapt to change, and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Manual Driver’s License or the ability to obtain a manual driver’s license before the program begins.
- Commitment to Safety & Value is critical so a strong dedication to workplace health, safety, and security standards, as well as alignment with Evolution Mining’s core values.
