About the Job:
Reporting directly to the Reliability Engineer, the Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Technician position is responsible for daily data gathering, analysis, and reporting within the Mobile Maintenance Department. This includes diagnosing equipment malfunctions using predictive maintenance techniques, generate reports, and escalate issues to the work execution teams.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain oil sample database integrity and analyze sample results. Report on issues and generate work orders on findings.
- Perform UT thickness inspections and flaw detection on select components.
- Generate reports from findings.
- Perform Thermography inspections during PM activities and/or for troubleshooting exercises.
- Maintain Bulk Oil Contamination Control program.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on more advanced/sophisticated production equipment.
- Perform repairs on more advanced production equipment as needed.
- Perform breakdown analysis.
- May mentor and provide support to less experienced mechanics.
- Oversee or perform general housekeeping.
- Direct activities of outside contractors working onsite.
- Work independently under limited supervision (self-management)
- Documentation of work schedule and work tasks completed.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficient in working with basic electrical systems, including starters, fuses, contacts, and relays.
- Skilled in electrical system installation, frequency drives, and troubleshooting.
- Familiar with using product manuals for repair guidance and applying the knowledge effectively.
- Experienced in interpreting electrical schematics, including blueprints, switches, and relay diagrams.
- Capable of diagnosing and resolving mechanical breakdowns with precision.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, including diagnostics and problem-solving.
- Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, such as those for hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Able to apply analytical thinking to solve moderately complex problems with guidance from senior team members.
- Must possess personal hand tools for various maintenance tasks.
- Knowledgeable in predictive maintenance techniques, including vibration analysis, ultrasonic analysis, and thermography.
- Experienced with mechanical systems such as gearboxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, and bearings.
- Familiar with compressors and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Skilled in gearbox maintenance, including rebuilding, part ordering, and machining.
- Proficient in working with hydraulic systems, including high-pressure cylinders, pumps, and valves.
- Knowledgeable in kinematics, including line speed and sprocket size ratios.
- Experienced with pneumatic systems, including solenoids, cylinders, motor brakes, and troubleshooting.
- Skilled in using and troubleshooting air compression systems, including valves and cylinders.
- Familiar with computerized preventative maintenance systems and data management.
- Experienced in pump maintenance, including seal and motor replacements and understanding specifications.
- Able to collaborate effectively in team-based environments.
Additional Information:
- Quarterly bonus up to $4,100 (up to $16,400 annually)
- Hourly Rate Range: $37.75 - $45.67 (DOE)
