About The Role
We are looking for a Coordinator Plant Operations to be part of the Yandicoogina Operations team.
This role is a great opportunity for an individual with a strong work ethic, positive attitude & mindset, who are self-motivated and who value personal and others’ safety above all else.
You’ll be part of a supportive team, supported by your Leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work on an 8/6/7/7 roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.
Reporting to the Supervisor Fixed Plant, you will be
- Allocating tasks to crew members at the commencement of the shift in accordance with the daily plan, and throughout the shift in response to changes to work priorities
- Ensuring shift members and contractors understand and comply with HSE working procedures
- Assisting in identify training and development needs for team members and provide feedback to the Supervisor
- Recommending changes to the Supervisor that impact the production of the shift; address to negate problems, or capitalize on opportunities, and carry out those changes once approved
- Assisting the Supervisor to conduct performance reviews by providing input to team members’ performance
- Undertaking acting duties when the Supervisor is absent and liaising with other departments in a professional manner
What You’ll Bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- A current C Class driver’s license
- Strong and demonstrated knowledge of fixed plant equipment.
- Leadership experience and confidence in leading, developing, and coaching team members
- An uncompromising positive safety attitude
- Strong communication skills and be comfortable liaising with various stakeholders
- Be highly self-motivated and being able to demonstrate a history of continuous improvement

Located 95km north-west of Newman, Yandicoogina offers a range of fly in fly out rosters. As one of Australia's largest-producing iron ore mines; operating a fleet of autonomous trucks and drills, it generates more than 55 million tonnes of Hammersley Iron Yandi (HIY) fines each year.
