We currently have a new and unique opportunity to join EVR as a Truck and Transport Mechanic, managing our fleet of Freightliners and Kenworth equipment.

About the role:
The position is site-based at our Elkview operations, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C is necessary.
Schedule: 4x4 day shift only
In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Perform duties that range from routine preventative maintenance to repairing major breakdowns, including troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Disassemble and reassemble components such as engines, transmissions, cooling systems, fuel and exhaust systems, breaks, clutches, differentials, hydraulics, electrical systems and lubrication systems
- Providing innovative solutions and best practices
- Work with brands including Kenworth and Freightliner, upon others
Requirements:
- Willing to relocate near Sparwood, B.C.
- Valid Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic - Truck and Transport Certification, or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Previous mining experience is an asset
- Successful candidate(s) must be willing to satisfy the pre-employment requirements, including, drug screen and three (3) professional references

The high-quality steelmaking coal EVR produces is an essential input for steel that can be used for constructing products such as wind turbines and critical infrastructure including rail, bridges, hospitals and schools.
Base annual earnings are calculated to be approximately $131,000 which include hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums.
