Role Purpose
Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of complex queries and managing escalations for the service line, providing subject matter expertise, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining compliance with policies and guidelines. This role requires P2P experience, proficiency in accounting software and systems, strong knowledge of banking systems, and excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
Act as a process SME and supports team leader in managing the policies set forth by the Procurement Services group by developing expertise in a variety of work processes or activities typically developed through a combination education, job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. Works autonomously within established procedures and practices, solves problems that are of moderate level of complexity or are of a recurring nature and coach and train business partner team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensures timely and accurate processing of P2P related queries within the specified Service-Level-Agreement
- Collaborates and coordinates with other functions, stakeholders, clients through various communication channels to address queries efficiently and effectively
- Serves as a subject-matter-expert and point of contact for complex queries and ensures implementation of efficient and standardized processes
- Supports management in decision-making by providing timely and reliable information and analysis
- Provides training and guidance to colleagues and junior team members involved in resolving P2P related queries
- Shares expertise and best practices to promote consistent and accurate query resolution across the organization
- Ensures compliance with Rio Tinto policies, standard operating procedures and guidelines
- Analyses existing workflows & data, identifies bottlenecks, and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency
- Stays updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to the service line
- Efficiently & fairly allocates work within the team to optimize productivity at the beginning of each shift
Functional Area Supply Chain & Procurement
Supply Chain and Procurement encompasses the strategy, planning and management of all activities involved with the procurement of goods and services. It encompasses the end-to-end integration of strategy, category management and enablers such as emerging markets and sustainable procurement. Typical activities include requisition policy, sourcing, logistics, warehousing and distribution, and ongoing contract management. It requires coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders, which can be suppliers, intermediaries, third-party service providers, and customers.

Job Family Description Procurement services enable the provision of services and goods to Product Groups and category/ service delivery teams. This encompasses quality assurance and control; tactical and spot sourcing; purchase to pay; expense management; process design and improvement, master data and analytics.
Professional with limited work experience who is still acquiring a higher level of knowledge and skills in a professional area. Solves a range of straightforward problems guided by defined procedures and solutions. Has limited discretion to vary from established procedures.
