Brazilian court clears BHP, Vale and Samarco of charges in 2015 dam disaster
A court in Belo Horizonte ruled that state prosecutors failed to prove that "individual actions" directly contributed to the collapse of the dam.
Creditors of miner Samarco Mineracao agreed on Friday to postpone a final decision on the company’s debt restructuring, the company said.
The Brazilian joint venture between Vale SA and BHP offered improved conditions to creditors in a new restructuring plan. An assembly to vote on the plan was rescheduled to April 18.
