Abu Dhabi’s IRH explores investing in Alphamin’s Congo tin mines
Alphamin’s tin projects are in North Kivu province, which has been wracked by conflict for three decades.
South Africa’s Northam Platinum on Friday reported a three-fold increase in interim earnings, underpinned by higher metals prices and increased sales volumes.
Normalised headline earning per share (HEPS) for the six months ended on Dec. 31 jumped 241% to 369.6 cents, from 108.5 cents during the year-ago period.
HEPS is the main profit measure used in South Africa which strips out certain one-off items.
