World’s top energy trader Vitol eyes metals as oil demand set to peak
CEO Hardy points to iron ore, copper, and aluminum as potential markets.
The London Metal Exchange (LME) has appointed former Credit Suisse banker Robert Arbuthnott as group chief financial and administrative officer, it said on Monday.
Arbuthnott served as head of group finance and chief accountant for the Credit Suisse Group for seven years and before that was the CFO of the UK business, a statement said.
Arbuthnott, a chartered accountant, take up the post immediately at the world’s oldest and largest market for industrial metals.
The LME is owned by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd.
