IEA, India to collaborate on critical minerals data analysis
The IEA is placing a strong focus on critical minerals analysis, with the Agency set to release a World Energy Outlook special report this month.
Indonesian state miner PT Aneka Tambang’s (Antam) nickel ore production and sales doubled in 2021 from a year earlier, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
Antam’s 2021 nickel ore output increased 131.3% to 11.01 million tonnes, versus 4.76 million tonnes in 2020. Nickel ore sales rose 131.5% to 7.64 million tonnes, from 3.3 million tonnes in 2020.
Ferronickel output slipped 0.58% to 25,818 tonnes versus 25,970 tonnes in 2020. Ferronickel sales down 0.65% to 25,992 tonnes from 26,163 tonnes in 2020.
Antam’s 2021 bauxite output up 7.74% to 1.67 million tonnes, sales rose 15.4% last year to 1.42 million tonnes. Its alumina output increased 2.15% to 95,000 tonnes, while sales rose 93.9% to 133,000 tonnes.
