Endeavour Mining posts 34% output rise in fourth quarter
Higher grades and throughput after the end of the regional wet season helped gold production increase to 363,000 oz.
South African mining company Harmony Gold on Friday reported that one of its employees had died at its Doornkop mine.
The company said the person was a rock drill operator and had passed away on Thursday after a fall of ground incident at its mine in Soweto, about 20 kilometres from Johannesburg city.
Harmony Gold said the cause of the accident was under investigation and the affected area has been temporarily closed.
