Anglo American sells Australian coal JV stake for $1.1 billion
Anglo has agreed to sell its 33.3% stake in Jellinbah Group, a JV that owns 70% interest in the Jellinbah East and Lake Vermont coal mines.
Australia’s Fortescue Metals said on Friday it has appointed Christine Morris as its new chief financial officer.
Morris will replace Ian Wells, who resigned earlier this year after serving as the iron ore giant’s finance chief since 2018.
Morris, who will assume the role early next month, has more than 30 years of experience spanning across energy, media and telecom, manufacturing and technology sectors, the company said in a statement.
Most recently, Morris served as the finance chief of Copenhagen, Denmark-based drilling-rig operator Maersk Drilling. Prior to that, she was the CFO of oilfield services company BJ Services.
