Dividend proposal at Russia’s Nornickel not being discussed – Potanin spokesman

Some shareholders at Russia’s Norilsk Nickel were not satisfied by a proposal to change its dividend policy and the proposal is not being discussed, a spokesman for co-owner Vladimir Potanin said on Monday.

A board member at Russian aluminium giant Rusal said earlier on Monday there had been a proposal to change Nornickel’s dividend policy, but that he saw no need to do so.

Rusal declined to comment.
