South Africa’s Anglo American Platinum Ltd (Amplats) on Tuesday said interim earnings are expected to jump by more than 500% boosted by higher metals prices and increased sales volumes.
Amplats said headline earnings per share, the main profit measure used in South African, for the six months ended June 30 would be between 17,300 and 17,795 cents per share versus 2,627 cents a year earlier.
