In this role you will be responsible for:
- Effectively execute the maintenance and Instrumentation functions in the department to reach and exceed equipment availability targets
- Leading and managing the team of Artisans, Technicians and contractors in the department
- Monitoring instrumentation and control systems to support the operational needs of the plant
- Oversee the maintenance Service of SCADA, computers and PLC hardware
- Provide an instrumentation service to Production, Electrical and Mechanical stakeholders and support the IT/OT function as required.
- Implementing optimisation and new capital projects
- To ensure working procedures are adhered to, updated and complied to according to set standards
- Maintain housekeeping and high safety standards according to company requirements.
About you:
- Grade 12 Technical / N3 or related NQF level 4 qualification
- Instrumentation Trade test certificate
- Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering would be advantageous
- Minimum 5 years’ field Instrumentation and PLC programming experience i.e. Siemens PCS7;
- Supervisory experience and skills
- Experience on a Sinter Furnace or similar environment will be an advantage
- Ability to interpret data, or analysis for reliability RCFA;
- Experience in Instrumentation, Simatic PCS7 systems, WinCC SCADA and Industrial Network (Ethernet, Profibus)
- Computer literate for the role including MS Office and SAP PM
- Good knowledge of the HSECQ systems
