We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual to join the Geoscience Data team within Exploration Excellence and Innovation, reporting directly to Lead Data Systems. This role is a full-time position based in Toronto, though other BHP office locations will be considered for the right candidate. Hybrid and flexible work arrangements are a standard across BHP. International travel may be required for up to 20% of time to support ongoing exploration activities.
As the 'Specialist Data Systems', you will work closely with the Lead Data Systems to ensure accurate and reliable management of Exploration's data infrastructure; from cloud file shares and database migrations through to virtual desktop environments and Exploration applications. Your primary role will be to maintain data system workflows, including software licensing, data automations, SharePoint workspaces, and software/hardware support across Exploration.
Your primary role will be to support Exploration teams by maintaining and improving data system workflows, software administration and budget management, automation and dashboarding, and M365 workspaces that enable efficient, reliable geoscience data operations. You will also advance geoscience data governance through documentation, training, user enablement, and frontline support for geoscientists across Exploration.
