Your Impact
As Lead, Sourcing Services, you will drive efficiency and quality in Newmont’s sourcing operations. You’ll set performance standards, guide supplier decisions, and lead a team that supports a sustainable, cost-effective global supply chain.
As Part of Our Team, You Will
- Establish and monitor sourcing standards and performance metrics.
- Provide insights for supplier selection, risk evaluation, and relationship management.
- Deliver sourcing solutions and cost analysis to support strategic decisions.
- Track supplier performance in quality, reliability, sustainability, and delivery.
- Implement digital tools and workflow enhancements.
- Oversee governance, audits, and data quality initiatives.
- Train and coach team members and business users on sourcing processes.
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, preferrable SAP and Ariba, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing and 2 years as people leader.
- Solid understanding of Sourcing, including bidding processes (RFPs), contract management, supplier management, P2P, supply chain processes.
- Proven ability to improve operations through data-driven decision-making.
- Strong collaboration, negotiation, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to lead with structure, maintain standards, and drive efficiency in a service delivery environment.
Your Work Environment
- You will be part of Newmont’s Global Delivery Center (GDC) in Costa Rica, working within the Corporate function. The role is people-focused and involves cross-functional collaboration with global stakeholders across People, Finance, IT, and Supply Chain teams.
- While the position is intended to be hybrid, as we establish our foundation, we will begin on-site to foster strong relationships, align our strategies, and ensure a solid framework for long-term success.
- This role is for the day shift schedule.
- Compensation will be aligned with the local Costa Rican market and paid in Costa Rican colones (CRC).
