Purpose of Role:
The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for purchasing goods and services for all operations, maintenance, and support functions. This role supports the project through critical vendor activities including bidding, requisition approvals, contracts, and maintaining responsive supplier relations.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Order Management: Process requisitions into Purchase Orders for materials and services with high accuracy.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate logistics and track orders until delivery is finalized.
- Stakeholder Feedback: Provide timely feedback to end users regarding the status of their orders.
- Cost Optimization: Utilize competitive procurement processes to achieve company cost savings.
- Financial Collaboration: Resolve payable and invoicing issues with support from the finance department.
- Budget Alignment: Coordinate with project services regarding budget and schedule requirements.
- Strategic Support: Strategize with various departments regarding future procurement requirements.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Manager and Team Members as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
- Education: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong skills to work effectively with team members, clients, and suppliers.
- Professionalism: Ability to maintain internal and external relations with high professionalism and strong time management.
- Contract Knowledge: Demonstrated competency in understanding special purchasing conditions and commercial contract terms.
- Safety Commitment: Must demonstrate good working knowledge of modern safety systems and take responsibility for working within required safety procedures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Languages: Proficiency in reading and writing in Spanish is preferred.

Employee will be expected to drive a company vehicle, rental vehicle and/or their own vehicle while performing the job. Employee must be able to prove that they have a current and valid driver's license.
