Wood is currently recruiting Senior Project Information Manager. This is an onsite position based in Basra, Iraq for a period of 6 months.
The main objective of this role is to provide leadership, governance, subject matter expertise and support in the areas of Information Management and Projects Systems Management during the execution of Contracts and/or Projects in accordance with a Client IM Framework.
Management Framework and supporting Procedures, including the key IM elements, i.e. storage, classification, information security, and retention & disposal.
• Responsible for the Project Information Management activities including the preparation, implementation and stewarding of the information management principles, guidelines and procedures tailored to the Contract/Project and Client needs.
• Responsible for the following areas and the associated personnel:
o Data Management
o Document Management and Control
o IM Systems Management
o Project Systems Management
• Manage the areas of training, configuration, planning, administration and mentoring in the use of information management systems and project systems, as well as the implementation of relevant processes and procedures.
• Identification and realisation of systems development and / or integrations opportunities to support the automation of business processes and reduction of duplicated data entry.
• Implementation of strategies for the effective management of electronic technical data and associated systems, applications and tools.
• Implement and maintain a standard classification structure and security model for the management of electronic files and data in the different repositories, including file servers and IM Systems.
• Serve as an interface between the business areas and the IT team to ensure the effective interpretation of the business requirements, translation into technical solutions and timely implementation of relevant solutions.
• Facilitate collaboration between all project participants.
• Provide oversight of quality check process for data management and document control.
• Manage delivery and handover of project document and data to the client ready for asset operation and maintenance, and for update of the operation digital twin.
• Ensure interoperability between EPC tools and PMC reporting.
• Preparation of the information management reports.
Qualifications:
• Individual with an Engineering degree as well as qualifications and experience in data & information management, knowledge management and systems management for EPC(M) companies
Knowledge, skills and experience:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in carrying out Engineering design activities in an EPC Company
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in activities associated with the management of information and data for the engineering design, procurement and construction of Oil & Gas facilities
• In depth knowledge of all the Engineering processes within an EPC company
• Expert in the management of Information Management Systems
• Expert in the implementation and management of project systems, either in house or proprietary type.
• Expert in Data Management concepts, including the relationships and interdependencies between the different types of data
• Must have management role experience
