Matric Certificate / Equivalent
National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or related field
CIPS Affiliation will be advantageous
Computer Literacy - MS Office package
Driver’s License – Code 8
Must be Medically Fit
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
3+ years’ experience in a procurement or buying role, preferably in the mining environment
Knowledge of BBBEE procurement principles and inclusive sourcing strategies
Previous experience of ERP (SAP/ Sage 300) systems
Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Knowledge of Contract Mining Industry
Roles & Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, safety, and health standards
Source and procure mining consumables
Convert purchase requisitions to orders and expedite deliveries
Engage with local suppliers and community forums to increase local spend
Maintain vendor master data and ensure procurement compliance
Support BBBEE reporting and supplier development initiatives
Monitor supplier performance and manage procurement risks
Maintain stock levels and manage imports documentation
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly procurement reports covering spending, supplier performance, order status, Due Diligence and BBBEE compliance
