Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit highly committed employees for the position of
RAP Coordinator - LEP (Fixed Term) to join the Project Department. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Reporting to the RAP Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day implementation of the Lumwana Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) by coordinating field activities, supporting community engagement, managing RAP data, and ensuring compliance with approved RAP commitments, IFC Performance Standard 5, and Zambian statutory requirements.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate daily RAP implementation activities across affected communities and host sites.
- Support compensation, relocation, livelihood restoration, and transitional support processes.
- Support community consultations, RWG meetings, household engagements, and disclosure sessions.
- Assist with household agreement signing, PAP verification, and documentation.
- Support the operation of the Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM), including logging, tracking, and follow-up of grievances.
- Maintain accurate RAP records (PAP registers, agreements, payment trackers, grievance logs).
- Contribute to RAP progress reports and support audits and compliance reviews.
- Coordinate field logistics, schedules, and deployment of RAP teams and consultants.
- Identify implementation risks and escalate issues to lead RAP as required.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Full Grade twelve (12) Certificate
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Environmental Management, Land Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in resettlement, land acquisition, community development, or large infrastructure/mining projects.
- Working knowledge of IFC Performance Standard 5 and Zambian resettlement processes.
- Experience engaging rural communities, traditional leadership, and local authorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Good communication and community engagement skills.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Conflict sensitivity and problem-solving ability.
