Reporting to Senior Systems Specialist, the Systems Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that the Learning Management System (LMS), run smoothly to deliver training, manage data, and enhance the user experience, bridging technical needs with instructional design to create effective digital learning solutions that align with company goals and support employee growth. You will handle LMS administration, content integration, technical support, and report on learning metrics, making sure technology effectively serves the broader L&D strategy.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Managing the Learning Management Systems ( LMS) , user account, configuring settings and ensuring that the system is functioninh properly.
- Building and managing reporting dashboards, ensuring correct data input into the system and supporting data extraction for analysis.
- Uploading, organizing, and integrating various learning materials (videos, documents, courses) into the system.
- Track participation, gather feedback, and assess outcomes to evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives and make data-driven improvements.
- Provide technical support to employees and training specialists by solving technical issues learners face, help to upload content and train stakeholders on new system updates.
- Generating reports on course completion, user engagement, and learning effectiveness, using data to improve programs.
- Enhance and improve learning systems. Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
- Stay informed about the latest in L&D, such as AI-powered platforms, microlearning, and personalized learning, to keep programs relevant and practical.
- Support digital improvement initiatives and the adoption of new technologies.
- Report on any system-related safety risks and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Report system‑related safety risks and coordinated mitigation actions.
- Support training and system competency planning aligned with operational needs.
- Deliver system training for supervisors, operators, and new users.
- Review schedules and ensure system data aligns with operational timelines
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate
- Minimum Diploma in Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in data analytics or business intelligence or a similar role.
- Experience in L&D systems such as Damstra and SAP and eLearning authoring tools will be an added advantage.
- Strong skills in Power BI, Excel, and data modeling.
- Understanding of data governance and integration.
