The role is in Chennai, India, and functionally reports to the Lead – Account payable and administratively report and support the Project Controls manager of Linxon based in Switzerland. Despite physically sitting with a larger Linxon Finance team in India, the role is supporting Europe region
The data support analyst is an individual contributor role for Linxon. Supporting the Accounts payable team and Project controls manager in the areas of Timesheet reporting, Verifying the project contracts, Reconciling the contract vs invoice, ad-hoc tasks, Vendor analysis, processing and reconciliation.
What will you do?
The key responsibilities of the Data Analyst will include, but are not limited to the following duties and tasks:
- Perform monthly checks on invoices against contract for various projects
- Verify timesheet reports and progress reports against invoicing
- Monitor and share reports on project quantity changes during execution phases
- Conduct tender vs. execution design quantity checks
- Incorporate project quantities in collaboration with project teams
- Monitor progress quantities vs. contract quantities to detect any discrepancies or increases
- Analysis of supplier invoices
- Perform root cause analysis and identify solutions
- Perform vendor account reconciliations when needed
- Identify process/system improvements opportunities and participate in their implementation
- Perform other tasks related to Vendor/contract discrepancy.
Experience, Education and other Required:
- B.com/M.Com & 1-2 years’ experience in data analytics or Accounts payable
- Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of Oracle is an advantage
- Knowledge of general accounting and projects.
- Fluent English is essential to be considered
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Reasonably good excel expertise
- Ability to work in different time zones
- Patience and accuracy while working on the data
- Self-driven, innovative, meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work remotely, with partners in different countries.
