Your Next Challenge
Your Contribution:
As an Intern reporting to the OT Coordinators, you will be integrated into the Information Technology department at Meliadine Mine and will collaborate also with other departments of the mine site. Your role will be to ensure the achievement of established goals and objectives while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental values.
- Participate in telemetry projects,
- Define technical requirements and conduct field evaluations,
- Update automation and network drawings,
- Administrate access with IT support and Install software,
- Install computers in the field and connect them to the network,
- Configure monitoring systems and PLC components.
What You Need To Succeed
What You Need To Succeed:
- Enrolled in a technical college or bachelor’s degree in automation, computer science, software engineering or related field,
- A good understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications. Familiarity with programming languages, operating systems, and troubleshooting techniques is crucial.
- The ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions. This includes both technical problems and business process improvements,
- Proficiency in English. Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, document processes and explain technical concepts.
- Previous experience in mining is considered an asset.
- Experience working un a multicultural environment is beneficial.
Note that the official working language at Meliadine Mine is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
