We are now seeking a HSE Systems Trainers to join our Safety Operations team at our Tropicana Gold Mine accountable to the Site Safety Superintendent. You’ll join a friendly, supportive team who look out for one another, so you won’t feel like you’ve been thrown in at the deep end from day one.
You’ll help to train over 1,000 employees across our Australian mines and offices, so you’ll be building a solid set of skills and experiences that will prepare you for future opportunities. Plus, you’ll have the full backing and support from your manager, so you’ll be trusted to know what’s best, giving you the room to implement your ideas.
This position is based on a 4/3 FIFO roster with occasional work in the Perth Office.
Accountabilities:
- Support and implement a roll out schedule for site operational users
- Create implementation schedules
- Co-ordination of training session schedules with site operations teams
- Provide HSE Site Operation Management with ongoing attendance KPIs on a weekly basis
- Ongoing review and maintenance of implementation schedule and progress reporting
- Deliver training that supports the operations to implement and harness the ISMS modules (Incident Management, Inspections, Interactions and Interventions, Meeting Management, Emergency Preparedness, Management of Change, Actions, Findings, Reporting)
- Delivery of Hazard and Risk Management Training, JHA training and ChemAlert.
- Formulate Quick Reference Guides for end users and other training support material.
- Data entry of attendees in relevant database
- Ensure that the awareness packages and other associated training content is updated in line with group changes
- Develop and maintain consultative relationships with key internal stakeholders to proactively identify and address training needs, ensuring that programmes are effectively and efficiently delivery within agreed timelines.
About You

- Strong knowledge of safety systems (Isims, risk management systems, for example)
- Confident delivering group and face-to-face training
- Experience training and troubleshooting across various safety systems
- Experience managing schedules
- Prior experience working within the resources sector preferred.
- Current Training and Assessor qualifications (TAE Certificate IV) preferred
