Our Opportunity

Work Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.

Roster: 7D/7N/7R - FIFO ex Perth, Broome or Hedland. With the option to go to 2/2 roster in the future.

Fortescue is seeking experienced Mining Operator who have operated some or all of the following equipment in a mining environment:

D10T/D11T Dozer
854 Wheel Dozer
16/24M Grader
993/994 Wheel Loader
CAT6060 shovel, CAT 6040, Hitachi 3600, CAT 6030 or Hitachi 2500 excavator

As a skilled Mining Operator, you will be responsible for operating mobile equipment at maximum efficiency, while maintaining safety, environmental and heritage standards to achieve required operational targets for the business.

Meet daily operational targets
Maintain assets to operational capacity
Constantly strive to increase process efficiency
Demonstrate behavior that aligns with Fortescue values
Comply with Zero Harm principles on a daily basis

Qualifications and Experience

Ability to skillfully operate some or all the equipment above
Mobile equipment operation in the mining industry is essential
Ability to read mine plans
Knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act Regs
WA Class HR Driver's License
Communication and interpersonal skills - two-way operation
