SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE OF ROLE:
The Superintendent, Project Procurement will execute capital project sourcing and purchasing of goods and services in a manner that makes valuable contributions to the internal AGA organizations.
LEADERSHIP
- Leads Contractor procurement activities for assigned capital projects. Works to assure the approved OneSC program meets the needs of the project, is cost-effective, expedient, and in compliance with AGA policies and procedures. Ensures that all OneSC requirements for the Project are met and that the requirements of the Contracts in respect of supply chain management are complied with by the Contractor.

- Demonstrate and encourage a proactive safety culture within the team and the organization.
- Ensure rapid and effective communication of any significant incidents to the management team
- Enforce Project Procurement protocols and procedures to safely manage all operations (safety management system).
- Monitor and recommend improvements to enhance the effectiveness of the safety management system, and requisite behaviors and practices.
- Identify safety risks and resolve emerging issues, escalating issues and safety risks that impact other areas.
- Ensure appropriate resources are applied to achieve safety objectives.
- Model behavior that is consistent with the AGA’s Vision, Values and Procedures.
Organizational Culture:
- Support Project stakeholders in implementing the desired vision, performance expectations and culture of the team.
Communication:
- Ensure efficient and prompt communication of any changes, issues or other areas of interest relevant to reporting or support groups
- Stimulate effective team communication to maximize team efficiency and effectiveness
REPORTING
- Assist Project stakeholders with timely and accurate detailed reports, presentations, maps, plans and sections to meet management and stakeholder requirements.
TECHNICAL
- Review and determine the adequacy of the commercial terms of all PO’s with respect to the approved AGA Ts & Cs from the position of AGA and alignment with the terms of the Contract.
- Review the commercial terms of all PO’s with the appropriate Legal representative with respect to supplier revision requests.
- Review and provide appropriate feedback on the adequacy of all Contractor procurement plans and procedures.
- Review and evaluate Contractor’s spares parts activities in the development of all commercial and procurement activities associated with the purchasing and delivery of commissioning and operations spares along with necessary operator training from vendor and 3rd party specialist organizations.
- Work in collaboration with internal business clients to qualify suppliers, contribute in supplier relationship management meetings, spend analysis, market intelligence and risk management.
- May support the procurement management process for brownfield or SIB projects and programs.
- Support engineering contractors in setting up fabrication priorities and coordinating engineering contractor requests to suppliers in order to avert overloading of any particular fabrication line.
- Liaise with the field support team regarding field activities such as material QA/QC, logistics, claims and post-project surplus. Ensure support-staff are familiar with training documents and procedures are being followed.
- Maintain and supervise high quality data collection and ensure that relevant information is captured.
- Support AGA Project teams toward identification and implementation of risk reduction and cost avoidance/savings opportunities.
EDUCATION AND & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management or University Degree in similar field with relevant industry experience.
- Experience in SAP MM module.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in capital project procurement.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated skills and abilities to influence at relevant levels of the organization.
- Strong Understanding of capital projects, and capital procurement best practices.
- Understanding of project controls.
Legal Requirements
- Exposure and understanding of certain legal terms and conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License to drive to and from the Project site
Technical Competencies:
- Ability to negotiate agreements with low to moderate risks
- Execute supplier management with minimal supervision which consists of facilitating the relationship between internal customers and suppliers.
- Ability to draft small to moderate work scopes and compensation attachments for various execution strategies.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5pm. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. As per operational requirements.
COMPENSATION:
Base Salary Range $115,000 - $130,000
